Ingredients:
1 sheet of puff pastry (thawed if frozen)
200g cooked ham or turkey (cubed or chopped)
150g shredded cheese (mozzarella or cheddar)
2 tablespoons cream cheese or herbed spread (like garlic & parsley)
1 egg (for egg wash)
Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
🥣 Optional herb spread:
1 tablespoon butter (softened)
1 clove garlic (minced)
Fresh chopped parsley or dill
Salt & pepper
👩🍳 Instructions:
Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F).
Prepare the Spread (optional):
Mix butter, garlic, herbs, salt, and pepper to create a flavorful spread. You can also use store-bought garlic & herb cheese.
Assemble the Roll:
Roll out the puff pastry on a clean surface.
Spread the herb or cream cheese mixture evenly across the pastry.
Evenly scatter the ham and shredded cheese over the top.
Roll It Up:
Carefully roll the pastry sheet into a log, starting from one end (like shown in the top image).
Slice the roll into 5–6 pieces (like pinwheels or squares if flattening slightly).
Bake:
Place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden color.
Bake for 20–25 minutes or until puffed and golden brown.
Serve:
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm with garlic yogurt sauce or a dip of your choice.
🍽️ Tip:
These rolls are perfect for breakfast, brunch, parties, or even lunchboxes. You can substitute the filling with cooked chicken, sautéed mushrooms, or even spinach & feta.
